STORY OF MY LIFE

PLEASE

everyone who reads this will know that i am
a massive CAMO fan
so i cannot fail to notice that Tommy Hilfiger menswear ss12
bears striking similarities to ACNE womenswear aw12
who would have thought?!
as my friend HARRY pointed out the tommy version is too POP-PY
keep it real.
think SYRIA. camo aint no gimmick.

GUESS WHAT

it's good friday!
hitting sainsburys for some gluten free
HOT CROSS BUNS

I'VE BEEN TRYING TO WORK OUT

flares.
the humble bell-bottom.

(this post is one for the girls btw, sorry boys..but please do read on because it will further your education and your girlfriends will thank you for your deep fashion understanding)
i am so vibing these right now.
(also straight legs. bleached and levis preferably. but it is hard to find the good, old ones. i digress.)
but i have seen very few people actually WORK them.
i have come to a conclusion: it is hard, but not impossible.
let's see...

to start with you have to be SLIM because this is a look that does NOT work with thunder thighs
sorry guys, but there are a lot of sexy things you curvy ladies can wear that skinnies cant. ie spaghetti strap silk slips ala calvin klein in the 90s. just no.
kate moss for example looks BEAUT in a bellbottom.
adele on the other hand, may have more of a chalenge. she should stick to advertising her asserts. ie. her boobs. skinny girls do not have these, she should (and does) capitalise on that.

cowboy style with a belt and shirt seems to be a kinda great option.
there are things to remember here...we have a baggy vibe at the bottom of the leg so this has to be balanced out somewhere. (ie, do not vibe hobo and wear with boyfriend tshirt)
but what shoes? this is a harder one to figure?
i'm just not going there with cowboy boots at the moment. NO.
(ahem, ignore horrendous colour palette in this photo. am on my mum's computer with no photoshop
otherwise i'd be wiping the colour out of that shit)

high waists are a MAJOR look

some people can handle this. for most...it's either gonna be a long top covering waistline or mid-rise
here are some 2012 interpretations...

neither of these have quite nailed it.
neither are tight enough around the thigh. it makes them look CHEAP.

This is OPENING CEREMONY's attempt bellow. obviously they nail it.
so kate hudson in almost famous. YES. LOVE

and what about these? ...

nahhh.
both are BORING.
whats the point of wearing hippie pants if you look SQUARE.

at least whack in a bit of 70s, right?

i'm gonna spend a bit more time thinking this over and i will get back to you.
stay around.
there are definitely A LOT of bad examples out there

BEWARE
this is a BAD example
no no NO.
